1. What are lab-grown gemstones?

Lab-grown gemstones are real gemstones created in a controlled environment rather than mined from the earth. We choose them for their beautiful color, clarity, consistency, and refined look on the hand.
2. What is the difference between lab-grown and natural gemstones?

The main difference is origin. Natural gemstones are formed in the earth, while lab-grown gemstones are created in a controlled environment. We choose lab-grown stones because they allow us to focus on color, clarity, consistency, and everyday wearability.
3. What is 14k Gold Vermeil?

Gold vermeil is not the same as standard flash plating. Our pieces are crafted with 2.5 microns of 14k gold over a 925 sterling silver base — around 100 times thicker than typical flash plating. This gives each piece a richer finish, a more substantial feel, and durability designed for real-life wear.
4. Will 14k Gold Vermeil fade over time?

Like all gold-coated jewelry, vermeil can naturally show wear over time. But our pieces are designed to last far longer than standard plating. In addition to a 2.5-micron gold layer, each piece is crafted with a protective shield tested to resist tarnish and help extend everyday wear. With proper care, your jewelry can stay beautiful and brilliant for years — and we back it with our 2-Year Brilliant Warranty.
5. How should I care for my jewelry?

To help keep your piece looking its best, avoid direct contact with perfume, lotion, oils, and harsh chemicals. Remove it before swimming, showering, or heavy exercise, and store it in a dry place when not in use.
6. How long does processing take?

Ready to Ship items are typically dispatched within 1–3 business days. Made to Order items typically require 7–15 business days before dispatch.
7. How long does shipping take?

Standard Shipping usually takes approximately 7–10 business days after dispatch. Express Shipping usually takes approximately 3–5 business days after dispatch.
8. What shipping options do you offer?

We currently offer Standard Shipping and Express Shipping. Available shipping methods will appear automatically at checkout based on your order total and destination.
9. Do I need to pay customs duties or taxes?

Customs treatment varies by destination. If additional charges are required for your order, we’ll contact you before shipment.
10. What is your return policy?

We accept eligible returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unworn, unused, in original condition, and returned with original packaging.
11. How do I start a return?

Please contact care@alvaura.com with your order number, the item(s) you’d like to return, and the reason for return. If your return is approved, we’ll provide the next steps.
12. Who pays for return shipping?

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.
